Sirocco Academy of Egyptian Dance

Sirocco Academy of Egyptian Dance (SAED) is a collective of bellydance teachers and professionally performing bellydancers who came together to promote the art of Egyptian bellydance through inclusive education and high standard presentation.

We believe Egyptian bellydance is accesssible to those of all ages, abilities, shapes and sizes and we love sharing this wonderful dance with our students, providing bellydance tuition in Liverpool, Merseyside and Cheshire.

All of the Sirocco teachers are dedicated, experienced bellydancers and have studied Egyptian dance to a high standard. The SAED teachers trained with former SAED teacher Caroline Afifi, one of the UK's leading teachers and performers. With 8 bellydance teachers students can access supportive, varied and enjoyable belly dancing lessons and clients can expect to book professional entertaining bellydancers. All the teachers are members of, and insured by, the Northern Arabic Dance Association (NADA).

SAED also organise dance holidays, showcases and charity events, provide belly dance performances, workshops, tasters, hen party and wedding packages across the North West and North Wales and work with organisations such as the Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival, organising and hosting Middle Eastern Dance showcases, performances and workshops. SAED have also featured on BBC Arabic, Radio Merseyside, Liverpool Echo, Chester Chronicle and other publications.

SAED performed Arabian folkloric dances as part of the Funoon Aljazeera Dance Company and they enable students not just to learn bellydance but get a taster of the dances, music and culture of Egypt and beyond.
